The Meaning of Quixotic

Quixotic means exceedingly idealistic, unrealistic and impractical.

My best friend Barry gave me this word as my word years ago. He said it’s the word that describes me best

And he’s right. I am completely living in a fantasy world. I am delusional….but instead of thinking I should change and be more realistic, I embraced it. And it’s worked out well for me so far. So I thought, maybe I can help other people be delusional too.

Being a Dreamer
There is nothing worse than being a dreamer and not having anyone to dream with. It is a tragedy to have an idea and be too insecure to act on it. I’ve done that a lot. A milllon times. Holding back your creativity isn’t just a loss for you, it’s a loss for the whole planet.
Pushing Others to Their Dreams
I’m the kind of friend and co-worker that if you tell me an idea you want to try, i will not let it go. ill bring it up again and again until they tell me they changed their mind and don’t want to do it, or have actually done it.
My Greatest Strength
My greatest strength is believing in people. And even more…believing in ideas. I believe ideas come to us because they want to be expressed.
Overcoming Fear
The best part…I think the more scared you are to do something, the more important it is.

About Me

I’m Beth — I love being outside, especially in the summer. Golfing, boating, sitting in the sun with people I love… that’s my kind of day. Spring is my favorite season because it means all of that is on its way.


Winter is when I turn into a full-on hibernator. I’ll happily stay in with my dog Poca and my cat Jean Grey, watching movies, especially superhero movies, basically anything that dives into good versus evil and reminds me that light always wins.


I’m obsessed with podcasts. I listen constantly, which is what led me to build a studio — and then somehow I found myself starting two shows of my own. I never thought I’d be someone who spoke into a mic, but facing that fear has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done.
